For more than twelve years the Dutch optician Paul Luyf has done his best for the underprivileged poverty-stricken population of Albania. With the Foundation Eye Project, set up by him, he is providing the Albanians with glasses with the right strength, which they cannot afford themselves.
By doing so he is offering the poor population of Albania a better view to a more favourable future.

A few times a year Paul travels to Albania to do eye-tests and to deliver glasses with the right strength to the people he had tested before.To adjust the strength of the glass and assemble the frame is a time-consuming and costly job. The gratitude with which many people cast a renewed and clear view of the world, however, provides the inspiration and enthusiasm to continue!

Not only eye sight tests and glasses but also direct help and transfer of knowledge see to it that Paul with his foundation realizes long-lasting and more structural solutions. Meanwhile an eye-centre has been realized with good working instruments and with well-trained skilful people.
